24 Things for 24 Months

My baby girl is two years old!  She is her own little person with a wonderful personality!  I love her dearly and want to cherish each moment with her.  Here are some things I want to remember about being 24 months old:
1) Breanna has moved out of her crib to a twin size bed with rails.
2) She still hates sleeping though, and she has discovered the art of stalling.
3) Breanna has begun to negotiate, and she knows the things that work.  For example, she knows asking for one more story before bed probably won't work but asking for one more prayer gets me every time!  When you tell her one more of anything she will frequently say "No, two more."
4) She still sleeps with her blanket and Bear Bear, but now also insists on Monkey as well.  Sometimes she will ask for a baby as well or another stuffed animal.  I may have to start putting a limit on this soon, haha!
5) When she tells me she is buying something or I tell her we need to buy something at the store she waves while saying "buy (fill in the blank)."  Appartently the idea that one word can have two meanings isn't quite clear yet. Haha.
6) When you tell her you are sad or she sees you upset, she will do something to try to make you smile.
7) She still hates riding in the car.  Her go to phrase in the car is "all done now."
8) Breanna loves to read!  She likes being read to and "reading" books herself.  She has several books that she has memorized and will frequently recite them while turning the pages.
9) She still LOVES all things Mickey Mouse.  It is the only tv show she will watch, and the only characters she loves.
10) Breanna loves to sing and dance.  Her favorite songs to sing are ABCs, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, You are My Sunshine, and The Itsy Bitsy Spider.
11) She is interested in the potty but we have not embarked on any type of actual potty training.
12) Breanna wears a mix of size 18 month, 24 month, and 2T clothes.  She is in between a size 4 and 5 shoe.
13) She is still a great eater, but is beginning to get more selective in what she eats.  She doesn't like anything with sauce or the least bit of spice.  She doesn't like meat at all.  She will eat 4 or 5 servings of veggies at dinner to avoid eating the protein.
14) Breanna LOVES chocolate!
15) Breanna has become a little parrot.  She repeats everything you say, so we've really had to watch our words around her.
16) She usually speaks pretty clearly.  Isolated words are easy to understand.  2 or 3 word sentences are pretty clear as well, but when she goes beyond that it sometimes takes one or two repeats to understand her.  Her clear speech is one of the things most people comment on when they are talking to us for the first time.
17) Breanna still loves to play outside.  I think she would sleep outside if I would let her.
18) She still loves the slide, and has developed a great love for swinging as well.  She is also a huge bubble fan, and really enjoys playing in the sandbox.
19) When she's inside, Breanna loves to do artsy things.  She loves to color, "draw," and paint.  She still loves to do playdoh, and can't get enough of stickers.
20) Breanna has begun to draw circles now, and she gets a kick out of adding what she tells me are facial features and then names the person she is drawing.
21) Breanna loves to help me clean.  One of her chores is to put the spoons, forks, and plastic dishes away from the dishwasher.
22) She has a kid size broom, swiffer, and mop that she loves to use anytime she sees something on the floor.
23) Breanna has really gotten into the pretend lately.  Rather than just open the doors of her play kitchen and push buttons, she actually pretends to cook meals and then serves them to her babies.  She loves to push around her shopping cart and "buy" things.  She also loves to pretend her babies are real by changing their diapers, feeding them, putting them to bed, etc.
24) She gives the best hugs and kisses!

Our fabulous neighbor, Allison, did Breanna's 2 year photo shoot.  Here are a couple of my favorites!  Can you believe she just does this as a hobby?!
