Florida

Sorry it's been awhile, but we were busy enjoying the sun, sand, and surf!  We spent a wonderful week at Nanna and Granddad's house in Destin, Florida.  We've had nothing but rain here for almost a month straight, so it was great to get away to 80's and sun!  Breanna loved the beach and water and playing with her grandparents!  Before we could start the long drive down to Florida we got to enjoy wonderful wedding in Louisville.  Drew was a groomsman in a good friend's wedding, so on Friday we enjoyed a wonderful rehearsal dinner at an amazing steakhouse while Breanna played with her cousin Amy and was babysat by her Aunt Chelsie, Uncle Tim, and Grandma.  This was the first time she has been put to bed by anyone other than Drew and I and to say I was a nervous wreck was an understatement.  I left in tears, but was able to enjoy my night out as I got reports that she ate a huge dinner, had a great time splashing in the bathtub with Amy and fell right to sleep with Aunt Chelsie.  I have a cute picture of the two girls splashing in the tub, but I won't post that on the internet for everyone to see.  Instead, here's a picture of Breanna enjoying a yummy chicken pot pie:

The wedding was beautiful and we had a great time at the reception!  Breanna was a trooper and enjoyed everything as long as she could.  She danced the night away until 10pm when she fell asleep on my shoulder as we danced with Daddy.

After the wedding we drove a couple hours until we got to the Tennessee border and then stopped at a hotel since it was so late.  The next morning was Easter and we got up bright and early to finish the drive to Florida.  We made it by late afternoon and got to enjoy a great Easter dinner with my parents.  Breanna had a great week!
She loved splashing in the baby pool:

She wasn't so sure about the big pool though:

She did love playing with the turtle fountain though:

She really liked the beach as well!  She happily splashed in a bucket of water and played in the sand.  And she only got a couple handfuls of sand and saltwater!

The grass was green and soft, and she loved exploring in Nanna and Granddad's backyard:

But what she really wanted to do all week was practice walking:

We got to go on a big boat ride.  It had it's ups and downs.  We never really got to enjoy the glass bottom part of the boat, which is what I thought she would love.  For some reason they never gave us a good chance to go down and see anything.  She did enjoy "steering" the ship and even got to pet a blue crab!

We enjoyed a trip to Sea Side and got to see where the movie The Truman Show was filmed:

There was a "turtlefest" in that area as well, so we stopped to see what it was all about.  It turned out to be more of an arts festival and there wasn't much for kids, but we enjoyed walking around and seeing everything.

Sadly, We had to make our way home at the end of the week.  The car trip was long, but Breanna did a pretty good job!

We had a great time and can't wait to go back in August with Breanna's cousin Evan, Aunt Debbie, and Uncle Ryan!
